Parish Pumpkin Carving
Parish Pumpkin Carving

On Sunday October 26th, St. Demetrius held its annual Pumpkin Carving event in the church hall.  Approximately 30 children and youth took part in creating and carving interesting and inventive designs into their pumpkins.  The children had a fun (and safe) time, and some parents also really enjoyed getting theirs fingers and hands dirty in their church finest.

Thanks to the The Mavros' family (Greg and Tanya) who were kind enough to buy, once again, 30 pumpkins, deliver and donate them to our annual carving.  Thanks also to William Kowalenko who helped with unloading and organizing the pumpkins on the tables, Pan Khachula for the set up of the stage, and to the other parents who supervised their kids and helped with the clean up afterwards. Finally, thanks to Victor Kowalenko for organizing the entire event!
