"The Four Waves: Let's Talk"

   Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Demetrius

      3338 Lake Shore Blvd., West, Etobicoke

 

Details

The guest panelists will be discussing how the 4 waves of Ukrainian immigration to Canada over the past 125 years work with each other today in our Ukrainian community.

The guest panelists that night will be:

  • Paul Grod, president of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress
  • Daria Diakowsky, co-president of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada-Ontario Branch
  • Walter Kish, writer for New Pathway-Ukrainian News
  • Taras Bahriy, president of the Toronto chapter of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.

The panel will address items such as "In 2018, are we a community united or divided by the distinct characteristics of each wave of Ukrainian immigration to Canada?"

Admission is free (donations to help cover costs will are gladly welcomed). A reception will follow.

This promises to be an interesting evening of ideas about how our Ukrainian community can move forward together.
